Trump – and Folks With Common Sense – Want Ballots Counted by Election Day

Let’s take a walk through common sense – you know, that long-lost trait that is apparently non-existent in many Democrat-controlled areas of the United States.

In some blue states, mail-in ballots are now sent out before Halloween, and counting doesn’t have to finish until well into the following month. This is RIDICULOUS and has essentially turned our election calendar into a never-ending political haunted house – where the ballots keep creeping in long after the trick-or-treaters are gone. Election Day? More like Election Season.

To fight back against this, Trump signed an Executive Order [1] in March, insisting all ballots be counted on Election Night.

In addition to that, a Just the News article [2] reports that conservatives are tired of ballots showing up like late Amazon packages and have pushed back with a legal challenge to Mississippi’s leisurely counting process (still waiting its turn at the Supreme Court). Now there is also Ohio which has joined the party by passing a law requiring ballots to arrive by Election Day if they want to be counted at all. Imagine that – deadlines meaning something again.

Wanting ballots counted by Election Day shouldn’t be controversial – it should be common sense. But in modern politics and with Democrats in charge of so many jurisdictions, common sense apparently needs a permission slip, a court date, and a months-long counting window.
