Let’s walk through the latest circus act in the world of athletic “fairness.” At the 2025 World’s Strongest Woman contest recently, a male-bodied individual identifying as a woman won the gold. Yes, this really happened.
According to a report from Breitbart News [1], American Jammie Booker (who admitted being a “trans” woman in 2017) won the gold in Texas.
Meanwhile, women competitors (those actually born female) who poured sweat, muscle and devotion into this event ended up on the losing end. That includes UK’s Andrea Thompson who said after walking away from the podium with her silver medal, “This is bullshit.”
Apparently, most of the competitors (the women) didn’t know that Booker was really a dude. And they weren’t too happy when they found out.
Contestant Rebecca Roberts said in an Instagram post, “Transgender women, people born male, should not be competing in the women’s category.”
Looks like the Official Strongman organization didn’t know about Booker’s real gender either. When the backlash came down on them and they found out about it, they said Booker would be disqualified. In a statement [2], they said, “Had we been aware, or had this been declared at any point before or during the competition, this athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Woman’s Open category. We are clear – competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth.”
So in the end, a woman actually won the World’s Strongest Woman contest. As it should be.
