It looks like the House Oversight Committee has declared that many executive orders and pardons signed by former dementia president, Joe Biden, via autopen, are invalid.
According to Just the News [1], Chairman James Comer says that the “Autopen Presidency” will go down as one of the biggest scandals in U.S. history, citing a stunning lack of verifiable sign-offs from the man himself.
Turns out when you let a machine play commander-in-chief, the signatures might not actually count.
So, what happens now? The U.S. Department of Justice has been asked to review these so-called “orders,” meaning that if your pardon or executive memo was signed by a machine and not by the person with the name above the signature line, it might get scrapped.
The takeaway: If you’re going to skip the boss and let a pen do his job, make sure you can prove the pen was awake, coherent, and constitutionally authorized to sign on the dotted line.
