When Justice Is a Revolving Door, Innocents Pay the Price

So, what is it going to be that drives the mid-term elections? Is it going to be the economy—the border—or has crime moved into the #1 position for voters?
I think crime might make its way to the top. Folks, let me tell you about Iryna Zarutska, a beautiful young woman from Ukraine who came to America chasing the dream we all hold dear—safety, opportunity, a fresh start.

On August 22nd, that dream turned into a bloody nightmare on a Charlotte, North Carolina light-rail car. Iryna was viciously stabbed to death by Decarlos Brown Jr., a thug with at least 14 prior arrests, including assaults and weapons charges. Eyewitnesses watched in horror as he plunged the knife into her again and again, all while she fought for her life.

President Trump addressed the tragedy yesterday, listen.

This wasn’t just some random act; it was the inevitable result of a broken system that coddles criminals and spits on victims. And yet, the media? Crickets. Zero stories in the New York Times about Iryna in the weeks after her brutal murder. But George Floyd? 5,897 hits. Trayvon Martin? 1,190. Even Kilmar Abrego Garcia got 56 stories. Iryna? Nada. The elite press only cares when some crime they like fits their narrative.

Remember Daniel Penny? That Marine vet who heroically choked out a deranged subway attacker in New York, potentially saving lives? The press crucified him—100 stories painting him as a vigilante monster. But Decarlos Brown, a violent career criminal who butchers an innocent woman? Oh, he’s just someone with “mental health struggles.” Tepid coverage at best, excuses at worst.

And Axios? They pivot from Iryna’s gruesome video straight to blaming MAGA influencers for “elevating” urban crime stories and accusing the media of under-coverage.
“Drawing attention from MAGA,” they say. Yeah, because someone’s got to! If the mainstream won’t tell the truth, we will.

This double standard runs deep. Bartenders get sued and held liable if they serve one too many drinks to a patron who later drives drunk and kills someone. But DAs and judges? They release violent repeat offenders back into society, and when those thugs murder again, like Iryna’s killer did, those enablers walk scot-free. No accountability.

I support Rep. Randy Fine’s proposal in Florida: hold judges personally liable when the violent offenders they release go on to commit new crimes. Civil suits, financial ruin—make ’em feel the sting. It’s about time we stop protecting the protectors of predators—let them have a little skin in the game. Let the predators ride next to their daughters on the A-train—I’d bet things would change real quick then.

Now, Charlotte’s Mayor Vi Lyles has the gall to call sharing that gut-wrenching transit footage “disrespectful.” Disrespectful? What’s disrespectful is ignoring Iryna’s story, pretending her life didn’t matter because it doesn’t fuel the anti-cop agenda. The mayor’s out there virtue-signaling, releasing a statement equating mental health issues to cancer that deserves “compassion.” And get this: she says Charlotte can’t “arrest its way out” of these problems. Lady, if compassion means letting knife-wielding maniacs roam free, count me out.

We’ve got a revolving door of justice where predators like Brown get slaps on the wrist, and victims pay the price. It’s not compassion; it’s complicity.

Speaking of failed leadership, look at Governor Josh Stein. In response to Iryna’s murder, he points to his budget request for more police officers. More cops? The police did their job—they arrested Decarlos Brown 14 times! It was the judges and the prosecutors who let him off the hook every single time. No amount of new badges fixes a weak judiciary.

And here’s where it gets really shady: the Magistrate Judge who released Brown last time? Teresa Stokes. Turns out, she’s also the director of operations for a mental health clinic right there in Charlotte. Conflict of interest much? Could she be funneling these “troubled” criminals straight into her clinic to cash in on government contracts? Releasing them to “treatment” that lines her pockets while they terrorize the streets? If we follow the money, there’s a good chance it’s rotten to the core.

And it’s not just Charlotte. Take this story out of Chicago: William Livingston, a repeat offender with a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt, was released multiple times despite assault charges. He randomly punched women on the street, leaving them bloodied and broken—and it didn’t matter.

Police charged him again, but the question lingers: how many more victims are going to be killed before the woke judges wake up? This is America’s major cities under Democrat rule—endless second chances for criminals, and no chance for the law-abiding.

Even reporters try to spin it. They love dragging up Memphis or St. Louis to “prove” crime’s not so bad. But guess what? Over Labor Day weekend 2025, Memphis and St. Louis both recorded zero murders. Zero! Meanwhile, Chicago’s bleeding—dozens shot, and at least 8 dead.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is trying out the same narrative.

But we’ve already told you—19 of the 20 most violent cities in America are Democrat-run. It’s a losing argument.

Many Democrats aren’t even trying to hide their embrace of crime. Illinois Rep. Delia Ramirez, a “Squad” member, has this to say to her constituents.

They so badly want to make Donald Trump, and not the career criminals, the villain here—and Donald Trump is setting the record straight without mincing words—listen to this exchange with a reporter.

The fake news gasped, but the people cheered. I’ve got sources telling me DIA—Defense Intelligence Agency—has operatives on the ground in Chicago right now, mapping drug cartel operations. The National Guard could roll in at any moment, fully prepped. Trump’s not bluffing; he’s building the America we deserve.

All while left-wing shadow operations seek to tear it down—look at those so-called “protests” in D.C. last weekend—manufactured outrage, pure and simple. Bussed-in out-of-towners wearing identical shirts, waving the exact same signs you’ve seen at every left-wing circus from BLM to climate hoaxes.

Stephen Miller nailed the Deep State this week, exposing how the D.C. police department’s been concealing crime stats to hide the chaos under Democrat control.

The Democrats would rather lie than face the problem of crime head-on… why? A former Chicago police leader said he thinks it’s because they’re afraid of what it would reveal.

You know my thoughts? I think part of it has to do with the fact that then they’d have to admit that people commit crime, not guns. They’d have to give up their war on guns, because with crime down as arrests go up—it just makes sense.

They’re still beating the gun control drums as we speak—here’s Representative Mike Quigley.

With people like this representing Chicago, the problem will always be the same.

Crime won’t be addressed, guns will be taken away, and criminals will just keep cycling out on the streets to claim more victims like Iryna Zarutska.

Americans of all political associations need to say “enough is enough”—or else the bloodshed will continue—because we obviously can’t count on Democrat leaders or mainstream media to actually address the issue.

And coming up—an update on the dramatic crime drop in Washington, D.C.
