Loudoun County, Virginia, you’ve truly outdone yourself this time.
Imagine this…in a public high school locker room (for boys) in Stone Bridge, Virginia, a biological girl (who identifies as male) waltzes into a boys’ locker room to change clothes and films the boys on her cell phone to get their response. Some of the boys asked why there was a girl in the locker room and three boys voiced being “uncomfortable” with the situation.
What happened after that? The school punishes the boys, not the girl who invaded their privacy, saying it qualified as Title IX sexual harassment against the biological girl. Loudoun County Public Schools’ policy permits students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity.
But wait – there’s more! According to the Daily Signal [1], only two of the boys got punished. Why? The third boy is Muslim, and the two punished boys are Christian.
Although the school system brought “identical facts” against all three boys, it only dropped the case against the Muslim boy.
The Christian boys were slapped with a 10 day suspension (on appeal by an attorney who is threatening further legal action), a no-contact order with the girl and a “correction action plan” to be worked out between the boys and the school district. What kind of plan? To put a waste basket in front of the door so biological girls can’t get in?
A parent of one of the boys said at a news conference recently, “Sixteen-year-olds are now branded for life simply because they spoke up about the truth. His privacy was violated in the locker room. He was secretly videotaped. This is a gross abuse of authority.”
This is the same Loudoun County and the same school that was in the national spotlight for mishandling a sexual assault [2] against a girl back in 2021 – yet here we are again with the school taking the side of ideology over common sense and politics over protecting kids.
