It’s not enough for Hollywood elites to rake in piles of cash, bask in constant attention, and live on easy street. No, they’ve also got to throw themselves endless award shows – complete with champagne, designer gowns, and mountains of phony praise – so they can pat each other on the back.
I tuned out years ago (movies included), and I don’t miss a thing. Therefore, I pretty much don’t know any actors who are under about 55 years old – and don’t care to. Honestly? They’re nothing but narcissistic clowns congratulating themselves for existing – young or old.
And they’re smug enough to believe their political hot takes actually matter. Half of them seem to spend more time ranting on X about the state of America and how horrible Trump is than rehearsing lines or showing up for a role. Just look at Robert De Niro, Bette Midler, Morgan Freeman, Alec Baldwin, Meryl Streep, Rosie O’Donnell, and the rest of the soapbox brigade. Truly self-absorbed, ignorant, nutty people.
Last night, Hollywood threw itself another glitter-soaked pep rally otherwise known as the Emmys. The champagne was flowing, the virtue-signaling was louder than the orchestra pit, and the disconnect from everyday America was as obvious as Stephen Colbert’s spray tan.
Stars lined the stage draped in keffiyehs, declaring their undying solidarity with the “Free Palestine” movement and boo-hooing about Trump’s immigration policies.
Spanish actor Javier Bardem who wore a keffiyeh even promised never to work with a company that supports Israel. Hannah Einbinder of Hacks took it a step further, literally yelling “F— ICE, Free Palestine” while probably chauffeured home in a gas-guzzling SUV with private security.
But here’s what nobody bothered to mention: Charlie Kirk. One of America’s most influential conservative voices, assassinated in broad daylight. Not a word. Not a whisper – not even by any of the scaredy-cat conservatives in the crowd. Not even a moment of silence for him.
This is the same Hollywood that weeps over every trending hashtag but they didn’t even pretend to care about Kirk. To them, his death doesn’t register – because wrong politics equals expendable life. The Left doesn’t even pretend to be human anymore – they are exposed and are proud of it.
Humorously, Stephen Colbert got a standing ovation for winning an award for his cancelled late-night show – and he continues to whine about it like it was yet another threat to democracy. Imagine being so out of touch that losing your corporate gig is equated with losing a country.
Meanwhile, average Americans are working double shifts to pay their bills as elites strut across the stage like self-anointed prophets. They don’t speak for us, they don’t care about us, and they sure as heck don’t mourn for us.
