Tariff Gold Rush: Trump’s Trade Game Just Scored a $27 Billion Jackpot

Who knew that tariffs could rake in treasure for America? Oh right – Trump did. While the media continues to spend their time shrieking that tariffs are going to tank the economy and send us all back to trading goats for medicine, President Trump just pulled off a $27 billion budget surplus in June – thanks to good ol’ American tariffs, according to Just the News [1]. This was the first time since 2016 that the Federal Government actually ran a budget surplus in June.

That’s right. According to the U.S. Treasury, Trump’s America-First economic playbook pumped billions of extra dollars into government coffers thanks to the Orange Menace.

Despite the caterwauling from coastal elites and globalist think tanks, tariffs are doing exactly what Trump promised – leveling the playing field and making other countries pay for the privilege of selling to us.

Now the same people who swore tariffs were unsustainable “taxes on the poor” are suddenly very quiet about the government having a budget surplus – a rare beast in D.C. these days. It must be hard to admit that Trump was right after pretending for so long that Bidenomics was a positive thing. LOL.

Looks like the only thing that was “unsustainable” was pretending globalism was ever a good idea as America suffered.

With the Trump 2.0 administration pushing for even stronger tariffs on some countries, our revenue is sure to increase even more. Treasury Secretary Bessent agrees and projects up to $300 billion [2] in annual tariff collections.
