Just when you thought the Biden years were at peak dystopia, it turns out that some of their freakish initiatives were just the pregame for turning life-or-death decisions into diversity bingo.
America First Legal (AFL) just dropped a lawsuit on the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to get records about the Biden Administration’s plans to (allegedly) distribute organ transplants based on race.
Yes, you read that right. The same folks who aren’t able to define a “woman” are now deciding who gets your liver based on skin color.
It all traces back to Biden’s 2021 equity executive order [1] – because if there’s anything Americans want less of while lying on the transplant list, it’s merit. Instead, agencies were told to sniff out “systemic barriers” and fix the “disparities” in organ transplantation. CMS even put out a call for public feedback on how to “advance equity” in organ donation, and HRSA started tracking transplant patients by race like it was 1952 again – just with more Excel spreadsheets and virtue signaling.
AFL filed a FOIA request two years ago to find out what was going on behind the scenes. In true bureaucratic fashion, the agencies responded with… silence. Not a single document. Apparently, they’re too busy organizing DEI seminars for kidney surgeons.
Will Scolinos, AFL counsel, put it bluntly: “The Biden Administration infected the federal government with ‘equity,’ replacing traditional principles of fairness and need with race-conscious criteria.”
In a sane world, organ transplants would go to the sickest patients with the best chance of survival. But under Biden’s DEI Doctrine? You might want to start praying that your blood type is considered “historically underserved.”
AFL is now dragging the Biden madness into court, demanding answers and transparency. AFL said in their press release that they’re suing to uncover the complete scope of Biden-era DEI policies and to “enforce this (records) request and expose the Biden Administration’s plan to prioritize organ transplants based on race and ethnicity instead of clinical needs.”
