In a plot twist straight out of a prime-time legal drama, President Donald Trump has named Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, replacing Ed Martin – whose nomination was on the verge of collapse after RINO senators threatened to block it.
You might call this new development “Fox fury in a robe” and I, for one, can’t wait to see what happens next.
Pirro, known for her fiery commentary and unwavering support of Trump on Fox’s “The Five,” steps into the role following Martin’s controversial tenure. Martin faced bipartisan criticism for his sympathetic stance toward January 6 Capitol rioters and actions perceived as politically motivated, including firing prosecutors handling Jan. 6 cases.
Trump announced Pirro’s appointment on Truth Social saying, “I am pleased to announce that Judge Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. During her time in office, Jeanine was a powerful crusader for victims of crime. Her establishment of the Domestic Violence Bureau in her Prosecutor’s Office was the first in the Nation. She excelled in all ways.”
This move continues Trump’s trend of appointing former Fox News personalities to key positions, with Pirro joining the ranks of others who have transitioned from the network to the administration.
So, to the D.C. swamp creatures who are hyperventilating and in a panic…brace yourselves. Judge Jeanine isn’t going to D.C. to play nice, sip tea, or appease the Beltway elite. She’ll be cleaning house, call balls and strikes with a Bronx accent. Her goal? To toss the crap right back where it came from to make Washington D.C. Great Again!
