Donald J. Trump wrote The Art of the Deal in 1987 as an up-and-coming New York business tycoon and developer—now, as the leader of the free world, we’re once again seeing those well-honed negotiation tactics in action.

Trump says this week marks the beginning of reciprocal tariffs against other countries. The U.S. has some of the lowest tariffs in the world, but Trump has declared enough is enough: If you tax us, we’ll tax you.

This isn’t a new idea. He made these promises during his campaign—here he was explaining the concept back in the fall—

Imagine that—a president who actually enacts the changes he promised to make.

Predictably, as if on cue, the left is having a meltdown. Here’s Ana Navarro on The View responding to Trump’s retaliatory tariffs on Canada and Mexico—

So according to the left, taxing other countries that act against U.S. interests is “bullying,” but taxing wealthy Americans into oblivion is considered morally necessary? Give me a break.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

Ana Navarro and The View’s brainwashed audience are more concerned about tequila and avocados than the safety of their American neighbors—or even themselves and their children. Because that’s the end goal of these tariffs against Canada and Mexico. Trump has made it clear: Unless they take action against the thousands of people crossing through their countries into the U.S. illegally—along with the mountains of illegal drugs—there will be consequences.

And guess what? Canada and Mexico very quickly figured out a couple of solutions. Imagine that. But if you only listened to the left-wing media, you wouldn’t know that. Here’s Joy Reid—

Now wait a second, Joy—I know fact-checking is hard, but it is part of your job.

According to the Associated Press, Canada has agreed to deploy new technology and personnel along its border with the United States, launching cooperative efforts to combat organized crime, fentanyl smuggling, and money laundering. Mexico has agreed to reinforce its northern border with 10,000 National Guard members to stem the flow of illegal migration and drugs.

And that’s just the beginning. These concessions were made in less than 24 hours after the threat of tariffs. Our border will only grow stronger from here.

Don’t just take my word for it—here’s what’s happening in what used to be one of the weakest sections of our border—

This is what happens when the U.S. negotiates from a position of strength. This is exactly what President Trump promised would happen.

As Laken Riley’s mother put it, he’s a man of his word. Listen—

So while the left whines about tequila and avocados, President Trump is securing wins for the American people—and protecting them.

The European Union is already quaking in its boots and has offered to cut tariffs on U.S. car imports from 10% down to just 2.5%—and that could soon be zero.

And here’s how the Japanese Prime Minister described his interactions with President Trump—

I can tell you right now—the words “strong and sincere” probably didn’t cross the minds of any world leaders who met with Joe Biden. More likely: sleepy and lost.

Our strong and sincere President Trump secured a record trillion dollars from Japan during that meeting, by the way—a trillion dollars! Plus a sales agreement for American liquefied natural gas to be sent their way.

But the left would still have you believe that Trump’s “America First” agenda is a disaster. The mainstream media tried to spin that narrative at the press conference, but the Japanese Prime Minister shut it down—listen—

The mainstream media is hoping to stir up fear and anger over hypotheticals—what could happen in response to tariffs—instead of reporting what is actually happening.

We’ve secured deals with Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Venezuela—all in less than three weeks. And there’s more to come. A lot more.

President Trump knows how to negotiate from a position of strength—listen—

The mainstream media is desperate for the chance to say “I told you so,” to point fingers at the “bad orange man.” But they forget that Americans wanted change—and Trump’s popularity is soaring.

In this election, Americans were more dissatisfied with the state of our country than ever before, and they knew what needed to be done: Elect Donald J. Trump. Even CNN has to admit that from time to time—listen—

Washington won’t be reshaped overnight, and the left will try to paint every move of this administration as a “mistake.” But Americans know better. We trust the man we elected to do what he does best: win.

Americans aren’t buying into the fear tactics of the mainstream media. Because for the first time in years, they know that their leader is putting America first.

And that terrifies the Democrats. It scares them that we’re not buying their spin, and even AOC may be starting to realize that—

Well, when Joe Biden’s White House funnels $8 million to one of his pet news organizations, yeah, we tend to stop trusting them.

Instead, we trust President Trump—who has delivered prosperity before and was elected to do so again, including through tariffs that we’ll likely see enacted this week.

We’re not bending the knee anymore—we’re taking a stand.
