Mexico Interferes In US Elections, Dems Do Nothing

When they alleged Russian control of Trump in the 2016 presidential election the Dems went bonkers and drew half the government into a bizarre conspiracy to flip the election to Hillary. Insurrection indeed.

But when an actual foreign head of government actively and publicly intervenes in a US presidential election, but against the Republicans, well then, that’s okay.

This is what Mexican president Obrador has been saying lately about Ron DeSantis and the GOP.

“I hope the Hispanics of Florida wake up and don’t give him any votes, that they don’t vote for those who persecute migrants, those who don’t respect migrants.”

And previously, “Starting today we are going to start an information campaign for Mexicans who live and work in the United States and for all Hispanics to inform them of what we are doing in Mexico and how this initiative by the Republicans, in addition to being irresponsible, is an offense against the people of Mexico, a lack of respect for our independence, our sovereignty,” he said.

The leftist demagogue added, “And if they do not change their attitude and think that they are going to use Mexico for their propaganda, electoral, and political purposes, we are going to call for them not to vote for that party, because it is interventionist, inhumane, hypocritical, and corrupt,” Obrador said. Mexico would demand, he opined, that “not one vote” goes to Republicans from Mexicans and Hispanics.

Well now. As a Latin myself I can’t tell you how hilarious that statement is. You see, as some of you already know, there is no love lost between various Latin ethnicities. The notion that an American of Colombian or Cuban heritage would take even a restaurant recommendation from a Mexican president is ludicrous. Not to mention that many Mexican Americans came here to escape from corrupt Mexican politicians like Obrador.

In July 2022, he also went after Governor Abbott and Texas, saying that Mexico is “going to ask our countrymen there that they don’t vote for that candidate or party.

“Unjustly, they are blaming us for problems that in large measure have to do with their loss of values, their welfare crisis,” he wrote. “These positions are in themselves a lack of respect and a threat to our sovereignty, and moreover they are based on an absurd, manipulative, propagandistic and demagogic attitude.” This while Mexico is owned and terrorized by drug cartels. And our press aside from FNC and the WSJ? Hardly a peep.

This is simply another example of leftist hypocrisy run wild. But fear not, this attempt in Florida, Texas, and elsewhere will fall flat as American Latins give their votes to Republicans in ever increasing numbers.  If Republicans choose the right nominee next year they are liable to get even more Latin support.
