Yes, there are exceptions to the rule and maybe you ARE psyched about Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis or Nikki Haley running for president.

I am NOT psyched. Not even very interested at this point. No one on the list of clowns in the clown car is jazzing me up.

None of them are giving great or inspiring speeches.

And I don’t think any of them are actually ready to do what’s necessary to save our declining nation. Maybe Trump – just because he knows his way around and was pretty successful against the “machine” his first go-around. But he had his problems – and he still does.

And the really big thing – the elephant in the room…I certainly don’t believe that any of the Republican presidential candidates are up for the oncoming election fraud coming our way from the dark money Democrats who will be taking advantage of all of the well-placed election laws that make sure we don’t have any kind of election integrity.

I haven’t heard an urgency from any of the candidates to make sure the Republicans get enough BALLOTS to win (not votes). And I definitely haven’t heard any big plans to stop the election from being stolen for Dementia Joe again.

What I DO see is a long list of uninspiring Republican presidential candidates taking up space in the media cycle as the country spirals into an unrecognizable homeland.

On the declared side of the Republican aisle running to be president, we have former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, entrepreneur and politician Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, conservative talk show host Larry Elder, Michigan businessman Perry Johnson, and Dallas-area businessman Ryan Binkley (who?)

On the soon-to-be declared list is former VP Mike Pence and former governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie. On the “maybe” list, we have Kristi Noem, Mike Rogers, Liz Cheney, John Bolton and Chris Sununu.

Last time, in 2016, we had 16 candidates competing against Trump. Those yahoos included John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Jim Gilmore, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul and Mike Huckabee, who all withdrew during the primaries. Withdrawing BEFORE the primaries were George Pataki, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker and Rick Perry.

With only 522 days left until we vote for president on November 5, 2024, things don’t currently look promising that someone exciting, competent and committed will come on the stage.

As with most elections, we get to vote for the least offensive person. And I haven’t decided who that is yet.
