Senator Diane Feinstein of California is clearly past her sell date. The woman is in her late 80s and should have retired long ago.

But most politicians are pathetic creatures who cling to power because nothing else in their lives brings them the charge of politics. Not family, friends, art, music, not the things that animate normal people. So they hang on past all dignity. Feinstein, as noted next, is amongst this sad coterie. Her recent three month medical absence from the Senate is another facet of the issue.

Fox on Tuesday, “…according to the Los Angeles Times Feinstein told reporters about an issue with her leg but said overall she was feeling better, then a separate reporter asked about the messages she received from other Senators after returning last week.” That’s the setup.

“What have I heard about what?” Feinstein quiered.

“About your return,” the reporter said.

“I haven’t been gone,’ Feinstein said. “You should … I haven’t been gone. I’ve been working.”

“You’ve been working from home is what you’re saying?” the reporter replied

“No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting. Please, either know or don’t know,” Feinstein feebly shot back. So, Feinstein has no idea she’s been gone three months. Zilch, nada. To her it’s all good. Some Democrats want her to vamoose. However, not because she’s orbiting Neptune.

“Her refusal to either retire or show up is causing great harm to the judiciary — precisely where [reproductive] rights are getting stripped,” AOC recently said. “That failure means now in this precious window Dems can only pass GOP-approved nominees.” Actually, from a Dem perspective quite logical. But not the next guy. He wants to trod over her political corpse.

“It’s time for [Feinstein] to resign. We need to put the country ahead of personal loyalty,” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-CA, said on Twitter. “While she has had a lifetime of public service, it is obvious she can no longer fulfill her duties. Not speaking out undermines our credibility as elected representatives of the people.”

Khanna thinks Newsom would appoint him to fill the seat if Feinstein chucks it. That’s why he wants her to disappear. Many other Dems, on condition of anonymity, have also called for Feinstein to leave the Senate. They know as one falls others move up the ziggurat and they are hungry to gnaw on her brittle bones.

Thus, by their notions, a clearly addled Feinstein must go. But a senile president and another senator who can’t utter a coherent sentence are just fine where they are? Uh huh, right.

I won’t belabor you with the constant mental disability of Joe Biden. You see it almost every day. And recently in the Senate, John Fetterman’s questioning of a witness was so incoherent that it prompted other Democrats to squirm in mortification. Fetterman is utterly bereft of even the slightest ability to do his job. His stroke last year saw to that.

The difference is that the Dems need puppet Biden to stay in place, lest they court electoral disaster with Harris, and Fetterman just got into office. Feinstein? She’s disposable.
