The Liberty Paige Year End List for 2022

Everyone and their former presidents [1] are making 2022 year-end lists and so I decided that I would too. I’m sure none of you care but, hey, I have access to the Steve Gruber website, so that’s just too bad for YOU.

Good Things in 2022

Bacon, chocolate, Little League World Series, Phil Collins, my full-time writing career, my puppy, 222 GOP House members voted into office for 2023, student loan forgiveness on hold, Beto O’Rourke and Stacey Abrams lose again, Alabama football, NFL football with Alabama quarterbacks (3 teams!), buses of illegal aliens showing up in Democratic cities, less Covid and less masks, Twitter takeover and exposure of government censorship, Title 42 on hold, friends and family, lakes and beaches in Michigan, the smell of a campfire, beating my husband in cards (or anything really), DoorDash, watching high school football games in the fall, and the fact that we haven’t fallen in the ocean yet as predicted by leftist climate change freaks.

Bad Things in 2022

Biden, the border, Liz Cheney, Kamala, baby formula shortage, Democrats, Michigan elections, Karine Jean-Pierre, the obsession with British royalty, the media (yes, I know I”m a part of that club), criminals and woke prosecutors, Trump Derangement Syndrome, the December Omnibus, 51 Democratic Senators voted into office for 2023, inflation, the theatre of the Jan 6 investigation, drag queens and pornography in our schools and libraries, snow, Mitch McConnell, fentanyl deaths, labor and product shortages, dwindling oil reserves, hospitals running out of beds and antibiotics to treat sick kids, wasteful spending on green energy projects, Russia, and military members booted out over Covid mandates.

Happy New Year everyone. Thomas Paine wrote about the birthday of a new world in the Appendix to Common Sense and said, “We have it in our power to begin the world over again.”

At least we can begin the YEAR over again.

Or as Colonel Potter said on M*A*S*H, “Here’s to the New Year. May she be a damn sight better than the old one…”
