Yes, our Nobel Peace Prize laureate, former President Barack Obama, has now won an Emmy. It happened on Saturday.
For what?
Reading. Being a. narrator. Reciting. Telling a story.
Ah… yes, we all know how good he is at telling a story.
Why do the leftists keep handing him awards for doing nothing? Because they can. Because he is still their messiah.
In 2009, 11 months after Obama became president, the Nobel Peace Prize [1] folks wanted to kickstart his presidency and reinforce the fact that he was going to be the greatest president ever ever ever. So they gave him the Nobel Peace Prize for giving great speeches.
The official statement from the Nobel Peace Prize folks said he “created a new climate in international politics” with “multilateral diplomacy” and “dialogue” – i.e. he did nothing but talk.
Having a vision and talking about said vision does nothing. He produced no actual results to bring about peace in 2009 or after that. He’s really no different than any other democrat in that respect – all talk and no action is who they are.
The best line of the press release from the Norwegian Nobel Committee about the award is the outright praise and appreciation and gushing of how great they think he is for doing nothing. They say, “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.”
So basically, Obama got a marketing award for looking good. His leftist friends at CNN, MSNBC and the New York Times should have been giving supporting role awards as well.
Taking a page from their Norwegian friend, the leftists in charge of the Emmy awards decided to put Obama up for an award for his narration of the Netflix documentary about our national parks, knowing full well that there was no chance in heck for any of his competition to beat him, including the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The Daily Mail [2] reports that Obama is halfway to the EGOT – which would mean winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. He won a Grammy in 2020 for reading his memoirs. Getting an EGOT would put him in the company of other great leftists like Whoopi Goldberg and John Legend.
I have no doubt he will achieve these goals with all of his politically-motivated friends being the ones handing out the awards.
Poor President Biden. He must feel just awful. He will never win any of these great speaking awards because he is unable to finish a sentence when he is reading from the teleprompter.
But he DOES have a Presidential Medal of Freedom with Distinction – an award given to him at the last minute, three days before Obama left office. Biden has also won many distinguished foreign honors such as Colombia’s “Order of Boyaca” and Latvia’s “Order of the Three Stars” – as well as many participation awards over the years.
