Jokes are meant to make people laugh but they are also aimed at offending people – all people – for just about anything… your sex, your lack of sex, your color, your politics, the way you walk, your dog, your mother-in-law, your car, the way you pee… nothing is off-limits, or at least it isn’t with a non-PC comic.
British comedian Joe Lycett got a visit from the po-po recently after telling a joke about a “giant monkey dick.”
The joke was reported to the police.
Was it reported by a monkey? Not that we know. The complainant is unidentified.
If it wasn’t a monkey, I guess that means that you don’t have to have standing to be able to report a bad joke to the police these days.
Lycett said on Instagram, “So someone came to my tour show a few weeks back and was offended by one of the jokes. And their perfectly understandable response to this was … to call the f*cking police.”
Lycett says he will continue telling the joke during his comedy show because it’s funny – at least until he’s handcuffed and hauled off to jail or the funny farm.
