Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are ‘Fast Becoming Irrelevant,’ Royal Expert Warns

A royal expert spoke out this week to warn that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “fast becoming irrelevant.”

While appearing on Pod Save the Queen [1], royal expert Russell Myers said that Harry and Meghan are “sitting in their ivory tower, sounding off about things” while the rest of the royal family is actually taking action to tackle global issues.

“They’ve got to be careful here, sitting in an ivory tower, sounding off about things that are just coming into your head without people to advise you ‒ I don’t really know who their advisers are at the moment,” Myers said. “It’s not coming across well and they are fast becoming a bit irrelevant, especially when you’re seeing the Cambridges and Prince Charles speaking about massive global issues like this. They’re going to be left behind a little bit.”

However, the podcast’s host Ann Gripper defended the couple, pointing out that they have signed with the New York-based Harry Walker Agency, which represents the Obamas and the Clintons.

“When you’ve signed up to be public speakers then that kind of is their role, you are public speaking,” Gripper said. “There’s the interview that Meghan did recently –  I think it was with Fortune – they pop up in this fashion, speaking over Zoom about some issue, I think it was about the Internet community and that kind of thing and making the Internet a better place.”

“But anyway, it’s a work in progress for them,” she added.

Harry and Meghan shocked the world earlier this year when they stepped down as senior members of the British royal family. They then briefly moved to Canada before relocating to Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, California, where they spent months living in the $18 million Beverly Hills mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry.

In July, Harry and Meghan moved again after they purchased a nine bedroom mansion in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara. They have since spent the past few months quarantining there with their 1 year-old son Archie. Since moving to their new home, Harry and Meghan have made various virtual appearances talking about things like climate change and cyberbullying.
