Normal people (not democrats) can see what a supreme choice Judge Amy Coney Barrett is for the bench of the Supreme Court

She has an outstanding resume and the respect of democratic colleagues and students.

In his nomination speech, President Trump said that a highly respected law professor at Notre Dame wrote a simple recommendation for her to be Justice Scalia’s law clerk by saying, “Amy Coney is the best student I’ve ever had.”

Students in Barrett’s classroom have the utmost respect for her. Six women who were Barret’s students wrote an op-ed about her in AZ Central. They said, “Amy Coney Barrett is a woman of both profound intellect and depth of heart. We are better women, friends, and lawyers for having known and learned from her. She has enriched the lives of all who have come to know her at Notre Dame Law School, and we can only hope that the entire country also will be given the benefit of her example and service.”

But the democrats don’t care about small things like intelligence, competence, or following the Constitution as written.

They care about outcomes. And they’re not happy that Trump has nominated a young 48-year-old conservative, an originalist, to replace the late Justice Ginsburg.

Barrett could possibly be on the bench for three decades or more. That doesn’t sit well with the democrats.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took to Twitter minutes before Barrett was even announced as the nominee and sounded the alarm. He said, “Make no mistake. A vote for Judge Amy coney Barrett is a vote to eliminate health care for millions of Americans and to end protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

In case we had any doubt, at the end of his rant, he said, “I will strongly oppose this nomination.”

Right now, the democrats are working on their game plan and figuring out their best strategy. Do they go after Barrett’s religion? Do they refuse to go to the committee meetings all together?

How do they keep their moderate and psycho leftist base all happy at the same time?

Even the Daily Beast admits that Barrett is “unquestionably qualified” and “appears to have a spotless ethical record.”

So what will they do if they can’t accuse her of gang rape like they did with Kavanaugh or they can’t come up with a witness who saw Amy stealing a candy bar when she was ten years old?

If you happened to look at Twitter over the weekend, it appears that the democrats have most likely decided go after her on two fronts – abortion and Obamacare. They don’t want either overturned and perceive her as a threat.

But because Barrett is a very likable and genuine person, the democrats are probably going to have to tamp down some of their usual vitriol that they have showed in the past, especially Kamala Harris.

It will look very unbecoming if Harris viciously goes after a woman might be the first sitting Supreme Court Judge with school-aged children.

If Barrett was a democrat, she’d be hailed as a trailblazer. The democrats would be sure to use the word “mom” all the time and marvel at the fact that she can be a judge and take care of seven children at the same time. They’d applaud her for adopting two children from Haiti be in awe that she’s able to give time and attention to a special needs child while still being able to be a career woman.

Judging Amy, unlike the popular TV show of the same name, is not going to appeal to the masses if democrats act like democrats and feel it’s okay to go after a woman because she’s a conservative and not a democrat.

It is going to be a very delicate dance for the democrats when they question her, especially for the men.

For the democrats, it is supposed to be all about women and minorities, right? That’s what they always tell us. The democrats are supposed to be the party that promotes the success of women.

And they do. If you’re a democrat.

During a reception honoring the confirmation of Justice Elena Kagan, former democratic President Barack Obama seemed to be all about the female aspect of Kagan becoming a Justice. It was important to him.

Obama said, “For nearly two centuries, there wasn’t a single woman on the Supreme Court. When Elena was a clerk, there was just one. But when she takes her seat on that bench, for the first time in history, there will be three women serving on our nation’s highest court.  It is, as Justice Ginsburg recently put it, ‘one of the most exhilarating developments’ — a sign of progress that I relish not just as a father who wants limitless possibilities for my daughters, but as an American proud that our Supreme Court will be a little more inclusive, a little more representative, more reflective of us as a people than ever before.”

On the DNC website, in their party’s platform, the democrats say, “We are committed to ensuring full equality for women. Democrats will fight to end gender discrimination in the areas of education, employment, health care or any other sphere. We will combat biases across economic, POLITICAL, and social life that hold women back and limit their opportunities.”

They go on to say, “Democrats will make sure that women thrive in our country, because we know that when women succeed, America succeeds.”

We will see if democrats really believe that. We will see.
