Miley Cyrus just shocked her fans by revealing a secret about her sexuality that she never even told her ex-husband, the movie star Liam Hemsworth.

In a new interview with the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cyrus admitted that she lied about not being a virgin to the man she ultimately lost her virginity to.

“I didn’t go all the way with a dude [until] I was 16,” Cyrus, 27, confessed to host Alexandra Cooper.

Though she didn’t mention Hemsworth by name, it was obvious that he was who Cyrus was referring to.

“It wasn’t Nick Jonas but I ended up marrying the guy so that’s pretty crazy,” she said.

Cyrus and Hemsworth got married in December of 2018, only to split months later in August of 2019, with the divorce being finalized this year. Cyrus said she lied about being a virgin for a decade because she didn’t want to “seem like a loser.”

“I lied and said he wasn’t the first so I didn’t seem like a loser,” Cyrus said. “It was a lie that I held on to for like 10 years.”

The singer also revealed that her first sexual experiences were actually with girls.

“The first time I ever hooked up with anyone was with a girl, two of them,” Cyrus said, adding that they went way beyond “first base.”

“When I was 11 or 12 my friends were starting to tell me what they were doing with guys and I didn’t really understand it,” she explained. “So I got most of my girl friends to hook up with me. I was attracted to girls way before I was ever attracted to guys. When I was like 11-years-old I thought Minnie Mouse was super f******g hot.”

Since then, however, Cyrus has focused on being with men .

“In my relationships with men, a lot of the times, I kinda hold a more dominant space,” she said.

Cyrus went on to talk about her ideal qualities in a man.

“I need to find a guy that’s confident enough in himself that he’s OK that I’m kind of masculine and strong, and there’s a lot of qualities to me that tend to associate more with the male role, and that’s just bulls–t,” she said.
