Issa Rae, the creator and star of the HBO show “Insecure,” just spoke out to blast White House senior advisor Ivanka Trump, claiming that she was “horrified” after doing research on the first daughter.

Rae recently appeared in the HBO comedy Coastal Elites, in which she a philanthropist who socializes in the same exclusive circles as Ivanka.

“For me, this is kind of an education because I do tend to try to avoid as much of the Trump family as possible. And Ivanka, in particular, I’ve always found fascinating — but not fascinating enough to listen to,” Rae said during a panel discussion for the show, according to Yahoo News.

“So it took a lot to research… And the more I found out, the more horrified I was,” she added. “And a lot of that is expressed through the work. But it’s a testament to Paul’s writing. It was just incredible to read and immediately resonated.”

The HBO movie was written by Paul Rudnick.

Rae frequently attacks Ivanka’s father, President Donald Trump, on her Twitter page. Days after the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota back in May, Rae declared President Trump to be a “white supremacist.”

“Your raggedy white supremacist president and his cowardly enablers would rather kill everybody than stop killing black people,” she tweeted on June 1, just as the violent Black Lives Matter riots were reaching their peak around the nation.

It’s no wonder that as a Trump-hater, Rae is “horrified” by his daughter as well, given the fact that Ivanka is already proving to be her father’s secret weapon going into the November election. We just reported that on Wednesday, Ivanka managed to raise $4 million for the Trump campaign in her first virtual fundraiser, and she has more such events scheduled in the coming weeks.

We can only imagine how “horrified” Rae will be when Ivanka gets Trump reelected come November.
