Hollywood star Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger just announced that they have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt.

Pratt confirmed the news on social media on Monday alongside two Bible verses.

“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed,” he wrote.

The two Bible verses were as follows:

Psalm 126:3
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

Psalm 127:3-4
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Though the date of the baby’s birth is not known, Pratt was spotted at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, on Friday.

Pratt, 41, and Schwarzenegger, 30, got married in June of 2019, one year after they met at church. While this is the first child for Schwarzenegger, Pratt is already a father to a 7 year-old son named Jack, who he had with his ex-wife Anna Faris.

Fox News reported that Schwarzenegger’s mother Maria Shriver had opened up back in May about how excited she was to become a grandmother.

“I’m really proud of [Katherine],” she said. “Obviously she and Chris are super happy. They’re a blessing to each other.”

Last month, Schwarzenegger talked about what her pregnancy has been like for her.

“[It’s] definitely an interesting time to be pregnant but a really fun time to also find the silver linings and to be able to organize and find more experience in the kitchen has been a big part of that,” she said.

Just last week, Pratt posted a photo of himself and a very pregnant Schwarzenegger enjoying a hike.

“Ready to pop Still don’t stop,” he captioned the image. “Top of the mountain today. Kinda grateful it didn’t go down on the trail tho [sic] to be real.”
