WATCH: Stunning “4K-Resolution” Video of Planet Mars…It Really Does Look Like the Utah Desert

Wow, how cool is it that we can sit at home, or at work and look at Mars on our smartphones or iPads?

And to do it in a “4K resolution” is really amazing.

This 10-minute clip was posted on YouTube and it features panoramic views of the surface of Mars like you have never ever seen before.

You get to enjoy sweeping deserts, gigantic dunes, and the cracked and harsh Martian ground that’s covered with layers and layers of jagged rocks.

The video, which was posted by “ElderFox Documentaries,” was created by using a series of digital photos shot by three NASA rovers: Spirit, Opportunity, and Curiosity.

Those images were then beamed back to Earth, and “stitched together” to create the illusion of a video camera panning all over the great Red Planet.

The locations that are featured in the video are:  Cape Verde, Santa Maria Crater, Burns Cliff, and Marathon Valley Entrance.

You can watch the video below:

Simply stunning – and it reminds me of the Utah desert, which always felt like a different planet.
