Christie Brinkley may be one of the most famous supermodels of all time, but she recently made a confession that shows that when it comes down to it, she really is just like the rest of us.

The 66 year-old supermodel just told EXTRA that like many of us, she’s packed on a few pounds while in quarantine amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Yeah, I think I did put on a couple pounds,” Brinkley said while being interviewed from her home in the Hamptons.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit legend isn’t too worried about the weight gain, however, because New York is full of options that are sure to keep her on her feet for the rest of the summer.

“So I dragged my Total Gym into my bedroom so it’s right there and I can work on that. I really do use it. I love it,” Brinkley explained. She added that gardening has been “a lot of work” and that she enjoys taking boating excursions to nearby beaches for “speed walks or running.”

“I’m determined to get back to my fighting shape,” Brinkley said.

Brinkley went on to touch on her 22 year-old daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook’s recent interview with “Good Morning America” in which she opened up about her struggles with body dysmorphia. Brinkley-Cook got candid about the pressures she faced growing up, as she always felt like she was being compared to her famous mother.

“I know that she’s always had body image issues,” Brinkley said of her daughter. “I know that she loves food. That’s one trait of all of us: we love to eat.”

Brinkley added that her daughter did not want to take on a career that forced her to have a restricted diet, which is something that the supermodel agrees with.

“I call it deny-iting because when you get in that frame of mind [of dieting] you feel like you’re denying yourself of something,” Brinkley explained. “I think it was important to find a place where you want to fuel your body with really good things.”

Brinkley ended the interview by promoting her line of Bellissima prosecco, a spirit she excitedly said comes with “zero guilt” as it’s free of sugar and carbs. Now that sounds like something that all of us can get behind!
