It’s been a long and slow process. But this nation’s Democrat Party on Tuesday finally officially admitted, in obscure language of course, that socialists will be deciding what the Party and the Biden administration will stand for. The party is now past merely pinko and is de jure classic red.
This is almost the last stop on a journey that started with Woodrow Wilson, continued with the New Deal, gained steam under Lyndon Johnson, picked up momentum with Barack Obama, and now comes almost to fruition with Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
Yes, some Democrats aren’t on the list. Truman was no socialist, neither was Kennedy. Carter was just incompetent and Clinton focused on the perks and interns. He forgot about his youthful fling with socialism a long time ago. Too bad his wife did not.
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, the chair of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) Platform Drafting Committee, applauded the socialist takeover of her party and its lemming-like progression over an ideological cliff, “What I most appreciated about the composition of the platform committee is that there was representation not just from the Biden campaign, but also from Senator Sanders’ campaign. And really, a coming together of so many people who may have supported other candidates but have all aligned to work to create a platform that really reflects the best of who we are and the policies that reflect what we want across America. And I believe that our platform will do just that.” Game, set, and match: Karl Marx.
Lance Bottoms Translation: “Okay fine. I’m not a socialist. That is mostly a dumb white person and teenager thing. But if I can ride this dumbass train to a veep or cabinet slot and make the guilty white liberals kow tow to me because I’m a black woman, then I could give a rat’s ass about what’s in the platform because nobody reads it anyway.”
And my facetious quote from her has a point. No ones actually reads the party platform anymore. Nobody does or has cared about it for decades. That’s not the point. The point is the signal it sends. It says to the socialists in the party, the rioters in the streets, the Black Lives Matter and Antifa terrorists, and the fellow travelers in the media, “Come on in. The water is fine.”
Party pros will discount the platform. But ideologically crazed Sanders socialists will hold Biden to it if he takes office. It is the price for their support. But more importantly, for their silence as to the real plans they have for America if they were to take power along with Joe Biden.
It’s easy to see. Sanders as possibly Senate Majority Leader or as Attorney General. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at EPA, Elizabeth Warren at Treasury, Rashida Tlaib at the State Department, and Ilhan Omar as FBI Director. An absurd exaggeration? Paranoid conservative fantasy?
So was the possibility of a man who voted for a communist for U.S. president being made one of America’s top intel officials. Until Barack Obama made it a reality by making John Brennan Director of the CIA.
