Prince William and Kate Middleton have earned themselves millions of fans all over the world, largely because of their refreshingly down to earth natures.
Now, a royal expert is speaking out to reveal why exactly the couple has never seen themselves as celebrities.
“The joy of royalty and British royalty particularly is [that] none of the royals see themselves as celebrities,” Nick Bullen, co-founder and editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, explained to Fox News [1].
“They’re born into this job.”
“Most celebrities crave the fame,” he added.
“Most celebrities have worked to get that fame, whether it’s with talent or, in the case of sometimes these reality stars, maybe lack of talent, but it’s there for the royals from day one. And it’s something you can never escape.”

Bullen is an executive producer who has been making programs about the British royal family for over two decades.
He made the point that unlike the stars of Hollywood, royals are famous from the moment that they are born, which means they never find themselves in the position of having to crave fame.
Bullen also said that when it comes to William and Kate, “duty comes first.”
“They are [one of] the most famous people in the world and they can’t escape it,” he said.
“I think they choose not to consider the celebrity world because they literally don’t see themselves as part of it. They haven’t sought fame… They’ve got a duty and they do the best that they can with their duty. And you know, we’ve seen when royalty and celebrity come together — it can sometimes not work.”
He added that the secret behind William and Kate’s happy marriage is that they both like having a sense of normalcy in which cameras aren’t always covering their various royal engagements.

William and Kate are college sweethearts who met at the University of St. Andrews back in 2001, and they went on to get married in 2011.
As the future king of England, it was made clear to William that he could pick whoever he wanted to be his Queen consort, and he went with love.
“There’s genuine love,” Bullen explained.
“I think Kate and William are genuinely in love and have a really great partnership. If you look at those photographs that we’ve got in the documentary of them in the early years up in Anglesey, this very remote part of the U.K. — they were walking on the beach and laughing a lot. They are [simply] a young married couple.”
