A royal author is speaking out this week to claim that Prince Harry is feeling “lost” living in Los Angeles the same way that his wife Meghan Markle felt “lost” living in the United Kingdom.

After stepping down as senior members of the British royal family earlier this year, Harry and Meghan had planned to split their time between the U.K. and the U.S. However, the coronavirus pandemic put a stop to that, and they have spent the past few months living in the $18 million Los Angeles mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry while they look for a home of their own in the area.

Tom Quinn, who wrote the book “Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle,” said that all has not been going well for Harry over the past few weeks.

“I’ve heard from people who have talked to them out there,” Quinn told Daily Star. “Harry is really struggling with it, because what’s he going to do in LA? What’s he going to do anywhere? He can’t get a job in McDonald’s.”

“I’m not saying Harry absolutely hates it in America, but the point that’s been made to me is that there was this new exciting venture to get away from the British press and to make Meghan happy because she’s on her own territory,” he continued. “But having got there, Harry does feel slightly lost because he is now experiencing in America what Meghan was experiencing here. What’s his role? He can’t take the labrador for a walk every day for the rest of his life. He can’t get a job in McDonald’s or for an investment bank, what’s he going to do?”

Quinn went on to say that there have been issues between Harry and Meghan from the very beginning of their relationship.

“It’s always been a problem, early on in the relationship, Meghan is a dynamo, she’s full of positive energy that would sweep Harry along but once the honeymoon is over, you still have to fill the days,” he said. “So what are they going to do?”

A representative for Harry would only respond to Quinn’s claims by saying, “It’s nonsense.”
