The mainstream media is trying really hard to get behind the newly “WOKE” NASCAR.
They want NASCAR to be a huge success since President Trump called them out for abandoning and insulting their fans after the Bubba Wallace “noose” fiasco.
Following that disaster, NASCAR suffered their worst TV ratings.
So, NBC and other liberal outlets who have never given a rats-you-know-what about NASCAR are suddenly trying to PUMP them up.
However, things didn’t go very well for this NBC affiliate – as a matter of fact, things went so incredibly bad that they had to actually delete their tweet.
NBC Chicago was trying to show how PACKED the NASCAR stadium was in Bristol, Tennesse on Wednesday night…but there were a couple of problems with the picture they used…
- The photo was 20 years old
- The photo included Dale Earnhardt Sr., who is no longer alive.
An NBC affiliate in Chicago was forced to delete a tweet promoting a NASCAR All-Star race after fans alerted them of a major photo gaffe.
NBC Chicago took to Twitter Wednesday to tout NASCAR’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway later that night, noting that the sport would be hosting the “largest sporting event crowd” since the coronavirus pandemic outbreak. But in its effort to make a visual reference to the crowds in the speedway’s grandstand, the NBC owned-and-operated affiliate used a photo featuring the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
The image showed Earnhardt in 1999 standing in the foreground of a photo which included the half-empty grandstand.
But the beloved driver for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing died in 2001 after a wreck during a race at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida.
