On Friday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View,” cohost Meghan McCain ripped into Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
McCain blasted the 58 year-old British socialite for living a life of luxury for years before her arrest earlier this month.
“What’s so crazy to me is that she had the hubris to live in a million dollar home in New Hampshire, thinking she could avoid the law for as long as possible,” McCain said. “She tried to smuggle in her cell phone in tinfoil, that was reported this week. This is not a woman who is behaving like she is ashamed or should be on the run. I would have expected her to flee the country.”
Maxwell was arrested at her New Hampshire mansion on July 2 on six counts, including enticement of minors, sex trafficking, and perjury. She has since been denied bail, with a judge determining that she is a major flight risk because of her wealth and her international connections.
Maxwell has plead not guilty to all charges, but McCain is not buying it.
“Any load of garbage she wants to give the American public that she had nothing to do with it, I believe the testimonials of the massive amounts of women,” she said. “I just hope she doesn’t get murdered or commit suicide between now and the trial.”
McCain went on to describe the Netflix documentary series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, which tells the story of Epstein and Maxwell’s sex ring operation, as “hard to watch.”
“Don’t watch it if you’re about to eat, it’s disgusting,” she warned her cohosts. “They interview a lot of the victims of his sex ring, and it’s very hard to watch these women’s testimonials…they were clearly groomed, and this woman Ghislaine played an integral part in it.”

This comes after Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre described Maxwell as the “mastermind” behind Epstein’s operation.
“Jeffrey was a sick pedophile, but she was the mastermind,” Giuffre said. “Put it this way, Epstein was Pinocchio and she was Geppetto. She was pulling the strings, she had his money, he had her contacts – but Ghislaine was much more conniving and smart than Epstein ever was.”
