Yesterday, we reported that “Glee” star Naya Rivera had gone missing after going out on a boat with her 4 year-old son on Lake Piru in California on Wednesday afternoon. Now, some chilling CCTV footage has emerged showing the final moments before Rivera disappeared.

Daily Mail reported that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office released footage on Thursday that shows Rivera driving up to the dock in her Mercedes-Benz SUV on Wednesday before getting on a rental boat with her son Josey and going out on the water.

Hours later, Josey was found sleeping alone in the boat with a life vest on, with Rivera nowhere to be found. She is now presumed to be dead in a drowning, but authorities have yet to find her body despite two days of scouring the lake.

The video also shows a jetski cruising near Rivera’s boat, and the public is now calling on police to find out who was on the jetski, as the person may know what happened to the actress.

On Thursday night, the search for Rivera’s body was called off due to darkness for the second day in a row. Police said it will continue Friday morning as a “recovery operation” now that they believe Rivera drowned in “what appears to be a tragic accident.”

Divers have described the water as murky and full of plants, meaning they can’t see more than one foot in front of them. One diver even described it as a “braille search,” which shows just how blind they feel underwater at this lake.

Police have warned that Rivera’s body “may never come back up” if it is “entangled on something beneath the water.”

Authorities also released the 911 call that was made from the boat rental facility at 4.37pm after Josey was found on the boat without his mom. The caller mistook Josey for a girl, saying that they had “found a little girl in one of the boats by the south end” and added that “the mom is nowhere to be found.”

Though swimming is allowed at the lake and police have said that there is “really no strong undercurrents like you would have in the ocean,” but the water is cold and could potentially cause hypothermia. Divers are focusing their search efforts today on the northern part of the lake, where water is about 30 feet deep.

After talking to Josey, police learned that he and his mom had gone for a swim, but only the boy had gotten back on the boat. Though they said it was “somewhat challenging” to interview a 4 year-old, police said he gave them enough information to give them a good idea of what happened.

“He gave enough information to investigators to conclude that his mother never made it out of the water,” Sgt. Kevin Donoghue said.

Captain Eric Buschow added that what exactly happened to Rivera is still a mystery, going on to say that she “could have suffered a medical episode” while “playing innocently” in the water. He also said that investigators are eager to “limit the amount of trauma” that Josey is facing right now.
