New alleged details are coming to light about Meghan Markle‘s rift with the British royal family, as a new book is claiming that she “burned too many bridges” with her “Hollywood” diva attitude.

Daily Mail reported that in their upcoming book “Royals At War,” investigative journalists Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett wrote that Meghan’s “West Coast energy” that included 5am start times and frequent text bombardments drove royal staffers crazy.

“Meghan can be difficult,” one insider told them. “She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment. However, there is a different degree of respect in the royal household.”

Meghan also failed to adapt to the royal protocols that exist within the royal family, and the two journalists concluded that she ultimately “‘burned too many bridges.” On top of that, Meghan rushed to support the charities of her choice as a royal without looking into them first, with one source saying, “It was all too rushed, without proper research.”

Howard and Tillett also found that Meghan’s high maintenance ways resulted in a “remarkable” staff turnover that saw five aides either quitting or being relocated from her staff. One senior female security officer reportedly quit after becoming frustrated because Meghan “ignored advice about venturing into risky crowd situations.”

Insiders made sure to tell the journalists that Meghan was frustrated with the constraints of being a royal as well, specifically with not being able to voice her opinions and with having to remain politically impartial. Back in September, Meghan and Harry ditched the royal aides to hire the PR firm Sunshine Sachs, whose clientele includes Hollywood stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lopez.

“Insiders told me that by that point, Meghan had burned too many bridges,” Howard explained. “The Palace is run by a hierarchy of advisors, aides and equerries who hold the real power. Once Meghan cut herself free of those strings, there was no way back.”

Since then, Meghan and Harry have stepped down as senior members of the British royal family and moved to her hometown of Los Angeles, California, where they remain at this time. They are staying in the $18 million Beverly Hills mansion of Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry while they look for their own home in the area, indicating that they have no plans to go back to the United Kingdom anytime soon.

It seems Meghan may have finally gotten the A-list Hollywood lifestyle that she wanted all along.
