How many times have we heard in the past three months that we are all killers if we want to go out in public without a mask, if we want to go to work, if we want to keep our business open, if we want our churches open or if someone wants to cut hair?
We are accused of wanting to “kill grandma” because we are selfish.
Nurses lecture us, getting in the face of protesters who want to re-open the country. Medical professionals and governors predict massive outbreaks and millions dying if we don’t stay home and adhere to lockdown orders.
They railed against groups of a patriotic peaceful protesters who wanted the country to re-open. The nurses said they were going to infect everyone.
Apparently though, the medical professional’s opinion on spreading COVID-19 is completely dependent on their political views.
They seem to be fine with the Antifa Black Lives Matter rioters disguised as George Floyd protesters not participating in social distancing. No, I do not and will not call these protests. They are riots. If the leftist media will not distinguish between the two, neither will I.
The medical professionals admit that the rioters will most likely spread the virus but it’s okay. They’re doing it for a good cause.
So never mind the coronavirus pandemic. To these medical professionals, racism is the more important health crisis. Dire in fact.
In a letter written by infectious disease experts at the University of Washington, and signed by 1288 public health professionals, infectious diseases professionals and community stakeholders, they say that “white supremacy is a lethal public health issue that predates and contributes to COVID-19.” (h/t to Scott Bertram at Hillsdale College for exposing this letter to the public while he was filling in for Steve Gruber on the radio)
The letter goes on to say that “local governments should not break up crowded demonstrations ‘under the guise of maintaining public health.'”
The guise? Seriously???????
These nut jobs say that the “risks of congregating during a global pandemic shouldn’t keep people from protesting racism.”
They also compare the protests at the Lansing capitol by “predominantly white protesters” protesting stay-at-home orders to the current rioters and say that the response must be “wholly different from the response to white protesters resisting stay-at-home orders” and that they must be consistent in prioritizing their anti-racist message.
They explain that the higher rate of hospitalization, ventilation and death from COVID-19 among black patients is “yet another lethal manifestation of white supremacy.”
They support public health practices such as social distancing and masks but do not condemn these riots as risky for COVID-19 transmission. They say, in fact, these riots are vital to the national public health and to the threatened health specifically of black people in the United States.
So it’s only risky for white people to gather in groups then? White people who are protesting the loss of their civil rights instead of protesting against racism?
According to these medical professionals, there are more important things to worry about then the coronavirus pandemic. Fighting racism is more dire and important.
Dear medical professionals: You have no credibility with me any more. Just like Anthony Fauci and the WHO, the NIH, the democrat governors and the leftist media…you are all frauds. You are ignorant and many of you are liars.
You choose what information to give the public depending on your personal ideology, financial gain and agendas. And the important information that you give us to save our lives changes on a dime when you need it to. You are disgusting people.
I will use my own research and make my own decisions. I will use MY judgement, not yours to make any future decisions regarding the virus.
And if you think this way of thinking by medical professionals is an anomaly, it isn’t. There is either silence or there is support of the rioting over social distancing by medical professionals and politicians who otherwise lecture us to stay home.
There was a protest in Houston recently with about 60,000 people. The medical community was in support of the protesters and even included a “White Coats for Black Lives ” demonstration with Texas Medical Center students, faculty and staff at the protest.
So yes, I can safely say that the medical professionals have no problems with anyone getting exposed to the virus and killing grandma as long as it’s to protest racism.
