A Birmingham, AL woman is in deep trouble with the law after she resisted arrest and acted belligerently toward the arresting police officer.
Video of the incident (below) has been shared thousands of times on Facebook, and it’s obvious, the woman is not complying with the arresting officer, and he lifts her and puts her on the ground. She didn’t look like she had any apparent injuries when the officer stood her up, but she did appear to spit at another woman while she was in handcuffs.
There is a Birmingham City ordinance that requires everyone within Birmingham city lines to wear a mask. She was not allowed into Walmart without one. There is nothing to with race here. She was asked to leave but refused. He only had to subdue her once she started resisting.
By the way, the officer didn’t body slam her for not wearing a mask; he body-slammed her for pitching a ghetto fit in the store—belligerent. For those who don’t know, her behavior is beyond non-compliant, it’s unacceptable.
The altercation was captured on cell phone video. The incident took place Tuesday night, a Walmart in Roebuck, GA. When the Police officer gives you an order, you either comply or choose not to comply. Failure to comply usually does not turn out well. “Play stupid games, and you win stupid prizes.”

The local police department released the following statement; “The same day the interaction occurred immediate actions were taken for the sake of public trust and transparency. A preliminary investigation consistent with the Birmingham Police Department reportable use of force protocols was immediately initiated and investigators of the Internal Affairs Division is conducting an investigation. This protocol applies to all use of force incidents that occur within the Birmingham Police Department.
We understand we are operating in trying times. The Birmingham Police Department has maintained a consistent community-oriented educational approach to the surrounding circumstances of Covid-19. As a department, we have been successful in our efforts to gain compliance and cooperation from the vast majority of citizens in Birmingham. Our records indicate, we have not issued any citations or made an arrest as it relates to the shelter in place ordinance or the face-covering ordinance. We have made a valiant effort to gain voluntary compliance and we will continue to work cohesively with the community.”
She was resisting, anybody does that, and they’re going to get body slammed. Feel sorry for her but was still resisting even it was peaceful. If you want to start something about it because she was perfect then shame on you.
She was resisting and fighting back. I’d instead use my time more constructively about unnecessary deaths during a pandemic.
