[VIDEO] HHS Secretary Tells CNN Places That Are Reopening “We’re Not Seeing Spike In Cases”

U.S. Human And Health Services Secretary Alex Azar told CNN’s Jake Tapper that authorities are reporting that there are no spikes in coronavirus cases in places that are reopening; however, they see increases in some areas that remain closed

“We are seeing that in places that are opening, we do not see this spike in cases,” Azar said during his interview. “We still see spikes in some areas that are, in fact, close to very localized situations.”

Azar put the responsibility of reopening struggles on local governments as he said: “These are very localized determinations. There should not be a one size fits all to reopening but reopen we must because it’s not health versus the economy. It’s health versus healthy.”

Asked about images being broadcast from some areas of the country showing people gathering near bars and congregating close together, Azar said that was the cost of freedom.

“I think in any individual instance, you’re going to see people doing things that are irresponsible. That’s part of the freedom that we have here in America,” he added.

Well, if that’s the case, time to drop all this nonsense, take off the mask if you aren’t sick, and get back to living. If you want to stay under your bed, go right ahead, but don’t expect the rest of the country to stop and wait for you. Repurpose your safe space crying closet into a virus bunker and ride out your fears there.

Conflicting information, even by (and especially by) so-called experts, is what’s most frustrating to me about this pandemic. Especially this business that someone who has recovered from it can catch it twice. In contrast, other experts say no, you can’t find it twice, people who tested positive twice likely had a false negative after the first infection and never actually recovered from it, despite being asymptomatic.

Immune antibodies in recovered patience certainly would be as good or better than any human-made vaccine.
