Imagine if this mayor was as truly motivated in using law enforcement to find criminals and arrest them as she is to cite honest citizens, stop them, and take their money… all in the guise of public safety.

Fine and arrest your tax-paying citizens and put them in jail while simultaneously letting violent and predatory criminals out of jail to stop the spread of COVID-19? Who’s more stupid?
The public who voted the mayor and other elected people in the position to make these “decisions” or the elected idiots making these disastrous decisions on behalf of the citizens?
[Fox News [2]] “We will shut you down, we will cite you, and if we need to, we will arrest you and we will take you to jail,” she said Saturday during a press conference.
Lightfoot said Chicago police broke up gatherings of between 50 and 150 people on Friday night, and that authorities were tipped off to at least six parties and gatherings that were set for Saturday night, ABC 7 reported.
“This frankly doesn’t come as a surprise, given the warm weather. We’ve all been cooped up. We all miss our friends, and we all want to go outside and gather in groups,” Lightfoot said. “However, those aspirations simply cannot become a reality in the middle of a pandemic.”
“If you host a party, promote a party, or go to a party, we are not playing games. We mean business, and we will shut this down one way or another,” she said, NBC Chicago reported. “The time for educating people into compliance is over. Don’t be stupid. We’re watching you, and we’re going to take decisive action.“

First, Lightfoot is unqualified to be mayor. And it is the fault of Chicago voters placing her in City Hall. She has open dislike and disdain for Law Enforcement, yet Chicago continues to be the murder capital of the US. Shame on her for disrespecting law enforcement. Lightfoot and the previous mayor have devastated this once great city by mismanagement, corruption, and personal profiteering.
What’s next, are Democrats going to balls and chains as they did in the 1800s or leg monitors in the 1900s or drones to track your every move 2020? We are a free society, slavery, house arrest, and total control over Americans is wrong. In November, there is going to be a huge line of out of work Democratic politicians. Let’s see how they like being out of work and no checks?

According to some, the ONLY way out of this situation is herd immunity. Hiding under your bed just delays the inevitable, while dealing untold amounts of economic damage, making things that much worse in the long run and allowing a second wave to occur.
We were supposed to flatten the curve, not stop it. That’s impossible, yet clueless mayors and governors keep acting like that’s the goal. Vaccines will be too late and may not work anyway. Better to get this over with as soon as possible.
According to protester’s mentality, we should encourage parties; ventilators kill 88%, so they hardly matter. If your time is up, it’s up. Better to live free than die a coward!
By the way, time for a qualified, strong, sensible mayor for the Chicago people.
