Ahmaud Arbery, 25, was killed in February of this year, by a father and son who told police they saw him running from a construction site and believed he was a burglary suspect.
They also told police Arbery attacked them “after” one of the men got out of the truck with a shotgun. This incident happened in a neighborhood outside Brunswick, Georgia. Many individuals knowing this was wrong on face value have tried to cherry-pick pieces of video leading up to the killing not to clear the McMichaels per se, but to claim Arbery wasn’t so innocent.
One of those excuses was that Arbery shouldn’t have been trespassing onto a construction site where he no doubt was thinking about stealing something. A family attorney for the Arbery family released two surveillance videos of a couple and two kids also “trespassing” onto the construction site.
NEW VIDEO shows there were frequent visitors on the construction site where Ahmaud was seen leaving on the day he was killed both day & night. Ahmaud Arbery seems to be the only one who was presumed to be a criminal and ultimately the only one murdered based on that presumption. pic.twitter.com/8tTwKPsck0 [1]

More alleged “trespassers” entering the construction site where Ahmaud Arbery was last seen before his murder. These children were not implicated in any crimes due to their presence at this location.
No white person ever was. pic.twitter.com/ezLfDwXB39 [3]

It seems whatever evidence that keeps putting a nail in the defendant’s coffin, someone wants to give them air to breathe, but in this case, these men were wrong and should face punishment for killing the young man. All they had to do was hold him for the police if that was their intent.
They didn’t even have to engage him, meaning they could have just followed him, but they didn’t. They played vigilante and lost.
Check out these responses:
White kids. Why weren’t they followed, stopped, shot and killed?

Show the part where they try to wrestle away somebody’s shotgun.

Well…follow me here…nobody ambushed them with shotguns…blew your mind, right?

This has to stop! The mistakes made and the hate that runs in the blood of the “good ol boy” generation MUST END. It does NOT speak for younger generations. We DEMAND change!! Now. The McMichaels & the person filming ALL deserve life w/o parole.

Sounds about white. I’m so sick of this racist crap. Rednecks thinking they can just murder black people for any reason they choose…..NOT OK!

Well look at that. No trespassers huh? Georgia police will do anything to attack the character of #AhmadArbery [10] .

Like I said in a previous tweet days ago. EVERYBODY walks on an open construction site for a variety of reasons. There is NO WAY a “neighbor” or a cop can “witness” a trespassing. There were 100 legal reasons he could’ve been there. The only thing they “saw” was his skin color.

I don’t think you can blame Trump for one this bro. These fools definitely should be tried and convicted based on all we know. But let’s hold them accountable, as they did the act. Stop thinking any president has so much power and influence on everything. They don’t.

The problem is my friend, those kids are neighbors… Probably everyone knows them..They are passionate about the safety of their neighborhood, helping and protecting. The other hand, Arbery acted suspicious. Feb. 11 report very important to this case. Turning point.

Let’s see if the network news will show any of these tapes with the energy that they broadcast #AhmaudArbery [15] when he visited the site. They eagerly broadcast the video and suggested that it might give cover to the two murderers for their crime.

Those were my exact thoughts the day I learned about this murder. Ppl look at new construction in their neighborhoods. All the time! For those two killers to claim they thought he might have been “stealing” makes as much sense as everything else they claimed.

Shit, my brother-in-law helped me scoot through a basement window to look in a partially finished house that got foreclosed on when the development company went under. Being white, people would believe him saying he was interested in buying and wanted to check it out. Not Ahmaud.

Honestly, #AhmaudArbery [15] could have had a contract and earnest deposit on the property. It is quite common to babysit new construction to monitor progress. He had a right to “trespass” like everyone else. You don’t have to have papers to peep inside. It was his neighborhood.

When they were building new homes in my suburban Connecticut town, I was in my 30s and went through every home while they were under construction. Thousands of people enjoy doing this and never get murdered or were under suspicion of a crime. These murderers belong in prison.

Funny I tweeted when this first broke that whites wouldn’t have been stopped and was called racist, even though I myself am white and living in rural Georgia. How’s that for irony.

I have trespassed in an abandoned home but no was never shot. I once went swimming at night and yes got in trouble for it. No one pulled out a gun or chased me. They only told me to please get out go home lol..

I wonder if they later committed assault on a man holding a rifle. I also wonder if they lived in the neighborhood and not over 10 miles away. While I’m at it, I also curious if either of these boys ever were arrested for bringing a gun to school.

Most of the comments I have seen about this, thankfully, have been pretty rational. Maybe I have not seen some of the crazier ones, but I am glad this is shedding a light on the truth of what happened here. Those two went out with a purpose to confront him and start something
— John Galt (@sgtkickarse) May 15, 2020 [24]
I was shocked to see the videos too. It doesn’t change my mind that the two murdered Arbery, but I am glad to see many individuals of color all on one accord in calling out this tragic situation.
