On Friday evening, Pres. Trump fired State Department Inspector General Steve Linick.
Not that he had to give a reason, but he had lost confidence in Linick as the IG. Reports alleged that Linick was investigating Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for using a political appointee to run personal errands. Linick was given 30 days to clear out his office.
WATCH DEMS CRY ABOUT THIS ONE TOO
Democrats will cry havoc and foam at the mouth over this firing, but I have a question that is like a bee in a bonnet. Why is it Democrats seem to forget these people being fired work at the pleasure of the President.
If they do something against a president, they have a chance to be fired. By the President. These positions are not lifetime positions, as most of the lawmakers believe theirs are.
The late-night, weekend firing of State Department IG Steve Linick is an acceleration of the President’s dangerous pattern of retaliation against the patriotic public servants charged with conducting oversight on behalf of the American people. https://t.co/VavmuJpX25 [1]

If Inspector General Linick was fired because he was conducting an investigation of conduct by Secretary Pompeo, the Senate cannot let this stand.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee must get to bottom of what happened here.

TRUMP SHOULD HAVE REMOVED OBAMA’S PEOPLE
Trump’s biggest mistake was not getting rid of every Obama appointee from day one of his administration. In all fairness, though, a transition does take time. I can see why you can’t just clean the house overnight.
Trump is trying to shield America from Obama’s henchmen who are uniting behind Nancy Pelosi as she takes over the House of Representatives, seeks to take over the Senate, and in November, will install herself as President in place of Joe Biden, who is slipping. Then she will repeal the Second Amendment to disarm America. Some believe a civil war is coming unless Pelosi is recalled and stopped.
[Associated Press] President Donald Trump has fired the State Department’s inspector general, an Obama administration appointee whose office was critical of alleged political bias in the agency’s management. The ouster is the latest in a series of moves against independent executive branch watchdogs who have found fault with the Trump administration.
A senior department official said Trump removed Steve Linick from his job on Friday but gave no reason for his ouster. In a letter to Congress, Trump said Linick, who had held the job since 2013, no longer had his full confidence and that his removal would take effect in 30 days. Trump did not mention Linick by name in his letter.
Democrats in Congress immediately cried foul, with the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee suggesting that Linick was fired in part in retaliation for opening an unspecified investigation into Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“This firing is the outrageous act of a president trying to protect one of his most loyal supporters, the secretary of state, from accountability,” Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., said in a statement. “I have learned that the Office of the Inspector General had opened an investigation into Secretary Pompeo. Mr. Linick’s firing amid such a probe strongly suggests that this is an unlawful act of retaliation.”

DEMS NEED TO BE REMINDED WHO’S IN CHARGE
The State Department is part of the Executive Branch. The President can fire any of them without cause, and the weird thing here is Pelosi knows this and is trying to usurp Trump’s leadership.
The first action of every new President whose predecessor hated America should be to summon every last appointee by that previous administration and summarily fire them all. They serve at the pleasure of the President, so if they would undermine his plans, he has every right to fire them. If that makes it seem like too many vacant positions to be filled quickly, perhaps a restructuring of staff can take place and not have so many six-figure salary positions paid for by the taxpayers.
Barack Obama asked for the resignation of all appointees during the first week of his first term. No one said a word because many presidents have done the same. Trump was hoping to have people that had integrity. That didn’t work out so well. Now he is criticized every time he makes a change.
Breaking: State Department Inspector General Steve Linick has been fired. Linick, a DOJ veteran appointed to the role in 2013 by Obama, is the latest of a slew of inspectors general to be ousted in recent months. https://t.co/0zXP4zBym6 [4] via @meridithmcgraw [5] @nahaltoosi [6]

THIS IS NOTHING NEW, DEMS ARE GRANDSTANDING
There are hundreds of thousands of federal employees, staff, officials, and personnel. All of them have a vested interest in the Democrat Party rule. It is impossible to root out all of them in the federal government. Part of the blame lies with George W Bush, who increased the number of federal employees by thousands when he enlarged the US government to historic proportions. Obama came along and fill those positions with like-minded hacks. Every single one of them is like the cells in an organism working toward one goal: socialism, power, and centralization.
