The coronavirus has brought out the worst in a lot of people.
We’ve allowed panic and hysteria to further divide us and turn a lot of us into “commie jerks.”
I live in Michigan, so I’m under one of the more severe lockdowns. However, I live in an area that had one coronavirus case in the entire county, and they got better without infecting anyone else.
Many of the counties around me are the same. I live very far from my hometown of Detroit, which is the hardest hit.

There have been many times that I have heard (and smelled) my neighbors having BBQs and pool parties. I can hear lots of people laughing and having fun. Those are great sounds. It makes it feel as if life is normal again.
I’d never dream of calling the police and reporting my neighbors for not “social distancing” or for breaking the tyrannical lockdown rules.
My neighbors didn’t rat me out when my cousins came to stay with me for a few days.
Turns out my behavior is pretty normal for a Republican. A new study shows that Democrats are more likely to snitch on their neighbors during the lockdown.
That makes total sense, doesn’t it?

emocrats are far more likely than Republicans to say they’d report neighbors for holding a social gathering in violation of coronavirus stay-at-home orders, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.
“There is a huge partisan difference,” Rasmussen said. “By a 44% to 31% margin, a plurality of Democrats would turn in their neighbors. By a 60% to 25% margin, Republicans would not. Independents are evenly divided. Other data I’ve released shows that a plurality of Republicans now believe the worst of the pandemic is behind us. Democrats strongly disagree.”
Just 36% of voters overall say they would report their neighbors to police for having a social gathering of 15 to 20 people, in violation of stay-at-home rules. Forty-three percent (43%) would not.
Respondents were asked “Suppose that, in violation of stay-at-home rules, your neighbor had 15-20 people at their home. Would you report them to the police?” They replied as below:
36% Yes
43% No
21% Not Sure
The national survey of 1,200 registered voters was conducted April 23-25, 2020 by Rasmussen, a polling veteran. Margin of sampling error: +/- 2.8% for full sample.
It just seems so unAmerican to be ratting each other out like this to the authorities who are – as it stands now – totally abusing their powers.
If you want to stay at home, that’s fine. You can and should do that, but other people who want to be out should be allowed out without the threat of arrest or fines.
