Report: AOC Reportedly Owes $2,000 In Unpaid Taxes From 2016 Defunct Business

The New York Post reported that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez owes $1,877.56 in unpaid corporate taxes for a failed business venture from 2016. She’s been like a money hawk in going after Pres. Trump to release his taxes so you can see the hypocrisy growing.

Usually, the government is far more aggressive about collecting taxes owed. It makes you wonder how Ocasio-Cortez has managed to avoid that particular consequence.

Progressive political philosophy is based on envy, anger, and theft. They envy their betters and are angry when other people prosper, so they try to steal successful people’s money through taxes. AOC is carrying on a long Leftist tradition.

[NY Post [2]] As the Post previously reported, public records show [3] the state dissolved the company in October 2016. The state can make such a move when a business fails to pay corporate taxes or file a return.

The state Tax Department then filed a warrant against her now-defunct business on July 6, 2017, over a $1,618.36 unpaid bill.

As of Friday, the tax warrant had still not been satisfied, and the outstanding balance had grown to $2,088.78, the department said.

“She just thinks she’s better than everyone else. Clearly, she’s worse,” said Hank Sheinkopf, spokesman for AOC’s chief June primary-race opponent [4], Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, to The Post.

But Ocasio-Cortez’s camp says the rep is challenging the $2,088.78 bill because it was issued “in error.

What about penalties and interest for six years. She is joining an “elite” crowd from New York: Al Sharpton and Charlie Rangel, to name two!

“The congresswoman is still in the process of contesting the tax warrant. The business has been closed for several years now, and so we believe that the state Tax Department has continued to collect the franchise tax in error,” said Lauren Hitt, an AOC spokeswoman.

“As anyone who’s tried to contest a tax bill in error knows, it takes time,” Hitt added.

AOC, a first-term incumbent, will face Democratic voters in the June 23 primary in the 14th Congressional District covering portions of The Bronx and Queens.

It’s time for a congressional committee to take a look at all her past tax returns. No telling what nefarious schemes she might have gotten away with. Who knows – she may have had help from the Russians to start that business.

Well then maybe she should be thrown out of the office for her failure to pay the taxes. If Cortez even got wind of the possibility that Trump did not pay taxes, she would be the first in line, screaming to impeach him. What makes her any better than anyone else that has not paid their taxes?
