Pelosi won’t answer questions on Biden accuser Tara Reade

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is known for a lot of things in her past. She is the political heir to a Baltimore political family, she married well, and steadily rose through Democrat ranks until she achieved the House speaker role. That much is confirmed. Her “Tales from the Crypt” visage is a subjective view of a more recent vintage.

What is also a matter of public record is that she has a serious issue with logic and clarity, as evidenced by her possibly inebriated recent tour of her kitchen that featured a slurred speech evocation of the wonders of her personal ice cream vault. Marie Antoinette would have had the peasants eat cake. Nancy offers them rocky road.

But of all her foibles, the one she may be most infamous for is her yammering pie hole. The woman, on issues great and small, cannot shut up. In fact, her diatribes on various subjects are so devoid of facts, so absent of cogency, so missing coherence that it is a wonder she has not been federally ordered to take a remedial reading course.

That’s why it is a bit of a surprise that she has decided that a major topic of the day, the rape charges brought against de facto Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden by his former Senate staffer Tara Reade, charges that have been corroborated by those close to Miss Reade, do not warrant comment of any kind. She has gone out of her way recently to say this and simultaneously defend Biden.

Then there’s this: “I have said I am proud to support Joe Biden for president,” Pelosi said. β€œI believe him when he says it didn’t happen. But I also believed him when he said, β€˜Let them look into the records.’ And that’s what they should do.”

Then this: “But I’m not going to answer this question [on Reade] again,” she added. β€œI will just say, I have every confidence that Joe Biden will be a great president of the United States.”

Lest we forget this: “I have said…I am proud to have endorsed Vice President Biden,” Pelosi said Friday during a chin wag with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. “I thought that he dealt with it β€” a complete denial, support for women.” Where do we start?

Well, we would love to “look into the records.” But those records are being kept under seal by the Senate and the University of Delaware. Pelosi knew this when she backed Biden’s recent fake request to the Senate to release the records, as they are held secret by human resources regulations. And her automatic belief in the sanctity of the words of those accused of sexual misdeeds? Well, her attitude in that regard did not extend to Clarence Thomas, Donald Trump, or Brett Kavanaugh. Hypocrisy or double standard? Surely not!

She’s “not going to answer this question again.” When did she answer it properly in the first place? Evasions, stonewalling, deflections, and spin do not constitute answers. Not to mention her evident lack of deep devotion to honest inquiry. She’s not answering it, or even discussing it, because she full well knows where the discussion could lead and it’s not a pretty place for her or her party.

To finish the questioning off succinctly, she blathers, “complete denial…support for women,” as if her programming tape is stuck in a continuous cliche loop.Β By dodging the issue she won’t make it go away, but will make those voters who are looking for the truth smell a rat. Though not your usual rodent. This one has a thing for ice cream.
