According to findlaw.com [1], “The use of excessive force can open up the arresting individual to civil and criminal liability, which is especially true when individuals use deadly force to apprehend criminals.” Most states tell you don’t interact with the suspect if you don’t have to, but these two idiots thought to grab their guns.
The most important thing to remember is if in doubt, don’t do it — call the police instead.
Even though I am happy about the arrests, the only reason father and son were arrested was that we, the American people, saw the videos. They have seen the videos for over a month and did nothing. The prosecutor should be removed from the case.

Gregory McMichael told police they followed Ahmaud Arbery because he appeared to be the person seen on a surveillance video breaking into homes, the police report said.
Has the senior McMichael produced the surveillance “video of a person breaking into homes?” No.
USA TODAY filed an open public record request with the Glynn County Police Department for burglaries and home break-ins in the Satilla Shores neighborhood between Jan. 1 and Feb. 23. The department’s records office said in an email Thursday it had no records matching that request.
The municipality police department reportedly has no report of burglaries in the two months before the incident.
Conclusion: This was a father and son “urban safari.” A cold-blooded murder.
The shooters are not self-appointed judge, jury, or executioner. If the jogger were guilty, do they execute suspects in Georgia without any evidence? What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Where is it legal to kill an innocent man? Maybe the US court needs to take over Georgia’s dysfunctional legal system. What other crimes are the authorities perpetuating?

I’m tired of reading that some are blaming for the interaction Arbery had with the son if he weren’t hunted by the father and son, who brought the guns and then approached by the son with a rifle and defending himself and trying to get away none of this would have happened.
The “violent attack” the father says the son endured was a direct response to Arbery being approached by him. So there was no mental health problem that Arbery had that made him have the interaction he had with the son. He was simply trying to defend off the son, who was indeed the aggressor.
Regardless of why they chased him, they gave statements that they shot him because he attacked them. The video has audio evidence; they shot at him first, and he was defending himself. Their credibility is destroyed.
The guy who took the video posted on a hate group, and it was leaked online. He should be charged for withholding evidence and as an accomplice.
