So begins the “Republicans WANT you to starve!” campaign to shame the Senate into passing this dreck.
Rep. Barbara Lee’s paper-thin attempt to make Trump look evil will backfire later this year when Americans make their way to the ballot box. Time to get a backhoe for the Dem party. And a coffin.

Have you noticed that Democrats will write a bill that could be 500 pages long that includes all they want then add another 1300 pages of wish list items that they’d like to get but will sacrifice for negotiation purposes? Then they’ll fight tooth and nail for all of it and grudgingly concede 500 pages of what they didn’t expect to get anyway thus getting more than they originally hoped for all the while accusing republicans of not negotiating in good faith, being tools of the evil rich and, of course, being racist.
Republicans, on the other hand, not understanding how politics is played will write a 500-page bill that includes everything they want and then start negotiating with the democrats naively believing that liberals do want what’s best for America, that they just believe in a different path to the same end. What they don’t, won’t, or can’t understand is that liberals, democrats, progressives have a completely different agenda that does not include what is best for Americans. It is only about what is best for democrats, which is power, and if some small benefit trickles down to “the people,” well, that’s a bragging point about how much they care.
So, in the end, republicans negotiate away much of what they want and congratulate themselves for their bipartisanship while only getting half a loaf. And as usual we the people end up the losers.
Democrat legislators don’t even read these bills, let alone write them. They’re much too busy making speeches and grubbing for votes, and much too important to bother drafting legislation.

Bills are written by Democrat strategists and K Street lobbyists and then summarized by interns. More often than not, legislators don’t even read the summaries. They work from talking points.
There were only 20 House members on the floor for this vote. They had previously decided that was a quorum. They had proxies for other members. Whoever heard of such a thing? This is no way to handle our citizens’ business, particularly when they’re looking to pass the largest bill ever at that time.
If we don’t stop the forces of evil within our society from changing our nation into some kind of socialist hell hole, then I guess we deserve it. This then is the result of too much affluence. America has been on a drunken spending spree for so long now that we are in total denial. I feel like those of us sounding the warning are voices crying in the wilderness.

Here is the REAL problem needing addressing by the President tomorrow; lask of a Federal Budget. President Trump needs to declare that not another single Bill will be passed until the House takes up budget hearings.
Further, he needs to declare that he will NOT sign any more omnibus appropriation Bills; that’s how we got into this mess.
We need to see the department by department bills moving through Congress as soon as possible.
