Dinesh D’Souza Says We Need to Place Obama in “Handcuffs”

It’s really no surprise that conservative pundit Dinesh D’Souza has no love lost for Barack Hussien Obama.

After all, it was the Obama DOJ that went after D’Souza for a very minimal “campaign finance” infraction

From National Review [1]

D’Souza was (and is) a strident anti-Obama critic. He committed a trivial campaign-finance violation. This is not to excuse the conduct; it is to reaffirm the principle that the punishment should fit the crime, and to observe that the conduct at issue is typically not treated as a crime at all. Routinely, misconduct of the kind engaged in by D’Souza is settled by payment of an administrative fine to the Federal Election Commission. In stark contrast, the Obama Justice Department not only selectively prosecuted D’Souza; prosecutors turned the case into a multiple felony indictment.

Another railroad job by the left.

In the end, the court sentenced D’Souza to five years’ probation, eight months in a halfway house, and a $30,000 fine.

Later, President Trump pardoned D’Souza, much to the delight of his base of supporters.

So, is it really any surprise that Dinesh is now calling for Obama to be placed in handcuffs and thrown in jail?

Probably not.

Here’s what he said on Twitter: Republicans—even Trump Republicans—are a little scared to put the handcuffs on Obama. This hasn’t happened to a president before. But which previous president conspired to frame and entrap his successor? Handcuffs, I say! And let the chips fall where they may ”

He also tagged President Trump in his tweet.

It seems so unlikely that Obama would ever face jail time. I feel like there’s a line of people in the way. that would take the fall on his behalf well before it ever got to him.

But I guess we’ll see how “sloppy” his Deep State cronies actually were once Durham has finished his investigation.

In the meantime, I think Dinesh’s idea is a lovely one and I truly hope it comes to pass.
