Looks like freedom of speech continues to be disallowed for conservatives. Leftist Twitter doesn’t like the fact that black conservative Candace Owens said some mean things about Democratic Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer and they temporarily suspended [1]her account over the weekend.
Owens had tweeted on May 1st, “Apparently @GovWhitmer believes she is a duly elected dictator of a socialist country. The people of Michigan need to stand up to her. Open your businesses. Go to work. The police think she’s crazy too. They are not going to arrest 10,000,000 people for going to work.”
Twitter didn’t like Candace’s tweet at all and locked her out of her account until she agreed to delete the tweet. Owens said in a statement to Gateway Pundit, “Apparently encouraging citizens to go to work is a violation but AOC encouraging workers to boycott and protest is not.”
Twitter confirmed the suspension and said that the tweet was flagged for violating the site’s policies concerning misinformation about COVID-19. A spokesperson for Twitter said the tweet involved “a denial of government body recommendations to decrease an individual’s likelihood of exposure to COVID-19 with the intent to influence users into acting contrary to recommended guidelines.”
#freecandace was trending on Twitter on Saturday and it appears that Candace’s tweet was deleted and her account is back up on Twitter but as of the writing of this article, there have been no new tweets added since May 1st.
Facebook has also suspended Owens in the past [2]for the crime of pointing out that black America needed to wake up to what democrats are doing to them. She posted, “Black America must wake up to the great liberal hoax. White supremacy is not a threat. Liberal supremacy is.” She reported poverty rates between black and white Americans in the post and that resulted in her account being suspended.
Twitter and Facebook are on a forward march to censor America [3]and COVID-19 information they deem to be contrary to their political views. They will shut you down if you organize a protest against the government. They will censor you if you post what they feel are “unverified claims” because you might incite people to action or cause panic and social unrest.
Twitter and Facebook get decide what is acceptable speech which obviously includes people who constantly tell others not to listen to Trump’s COVID-19 information during his press conferences. That is definitely allowed.
Twitter and Facebook have nothing to do with truth and science and have everything to do with providing cover for leftist policies and getting Trump out of office.
