[VIDEO] Reverand’s Very Calm Response to Accidentally Setting Himself on Fire During “Virtual Service” Has People in Stitches

A vicar really heated things up during his virtual service recently.

No, it wasn’t the message he delivered, it was the fact that he literally set himself on fire.

Reverend Stephen Beach was performing the service online as people across the UK stay at home to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.

In the video, the vicar of St Budeaux Parish Church in Plymouth set the sleeve of his sweater on fire as he leaned too close to some candles.

The best part of this “mini fire” however, was how proper and polite he was when he noticed the flames. “Oh dear, I just caught fire,” he said oh-so-British-like.

Ha ha ha! Love it!

The 61-year-old wasn’t harmed in the incident.

He said, “I just felt my arm getting a bit hot. The nice thing is, it did damage my pullover and my shirt but my arm is fine – there’s no burn on my arm.”

You can watch the video below:

Maybe he should use battery-operated candles instead?
