On Wednesday, during his daily coronavirus task force briefing, Pres. Trump told the media that he opposes Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp’s controversial decision to allow some nonessential businesses to reopen despite a high number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state.
Trump said, “I told the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, that I disagree, strongly, with his decision to open certain facilities which violate the phase one guidelines for the incredible people of Georgia,” He also added, “At the same time, he must do what he thinks is right.”

Earlier in the week, Kemp said he was allowing individual nonessential businesses to reopen Friday, albeit with restrictions, which resulted in many unhappy state and local officials some people aren’t happy with the plan.
President Trump said at Wednesday’s press briefing. “But I disagree with him on what he’s doing. … I think (opening) spas and beauty salons and tattoo parlors and barbershops in phase one … it’s just too soon.” Another huge bit of news is that Kemp is also allowing elective medical procedures to resume as of Friday, and will enable restaurants to offer limited in-restaurant dining starting Monday. Trump said he told Kemp he “disagreed strongly” with the plan.

Trump is leading with skill and wisdom, where he has to rely on experts who are all over the place regarding this pandemic. A great man like Kemp and a great President like Trump could quickly come to different opinions on how to address this virus.
Real leaders will make the calls based on their expert’s advice and will be judged by the results! If we save everybody but destroy our economy, we lose just like if we save our economy and cause a high percentage of deaths we lose! There is a middle ground in between, which is very difficult to achieve, given the different focus of the business leaders and medical experts!
No matter if Trump hits the ideal balance, there will be critics claiming Trump failed and a liberal media all willing to spin that narrative! Such is the sad state of affairs of our media and political discord!
