Dr. Rishi Desai, a former CDC epidemiologist, appeared on Martha MacCallum’s nightly Fox News show to discuss the US’s coronavirus response and shut down the interview with his answer.
He did say that this virus can be beaten if we do the right thing, but he also brought up the fact that the virus was detected back in December 2019. He also said that South Korea and the United States had their first confirmed coronavirus case on the same day.
His problem with how things transpired from that date — South Korea took a more robust response to contain and stop the spread while in America, there was a dismissive attitude that slowed any action that could have been made.
Desai’s analysis was so pointed, he left MacCallum speechless, and that doesn’t happen a lot.
Either way, Thank you, Martha, for presenting this nice piece. COVID-19 virus does not care who you are – gender, race, political bias, etc. The virus kills both republicans and democrats indiscriminately. We, as a society, need to re-think and act swiftly if what Dr. Rishi Desai is saying makes sense. God bless us all.
