Jennifer Aniston of “Friends” fame just did something truly incredible to brighten up the day of a nurse who had tested positive for coronavirus.

Aniston, 51, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday night to surprise Kimball Fairbanks, a cardiovascular nurse from Utah who contracted the virus that had killed thousands of people. Fairbanks, who is a mother of two young children, said she started to feel sick last week days after working a shift at her hospital.

“I kind of felt like I got hit by a train,” Fairbanks said. “But I think I just have really mild symptoms. I feel like I have a head cold combined with the flu. It feels decently manageable so that’s good.”

Kimmel wanted to cheer Fairbanks up “a little bit,” so he said he had a surprise for her. The nurse was then stunned when Aniston appeared onscreen from her home seconds later!

“Hi, honey, it’s so good to meet you,” Aniston told her. “I just have to say, God bless you and all of you that are out there doing what you’re doing. I just, I don’t even know how to express my gratitude to everything that you guys are doing, putting your health at risk and all of that. You’re just phenomenal.”

“Wow it’s so good to meet you,” Fairbanks said, clearly in a state of happy shock. “I really appreciate that.”

Aniston, who is currently starring in the television program “The Morning Show” on Amazon, made sure to ask Fairbanks how she is feeling.

“I woke up today and decided I’m not going to be sick any longer,” the nurse replied. She added that she has been furloughed from her work because of her positive test, and that she is now in quarantine, meaning she can’t be around her 4-year-old and 18-month-old daughters for two weeks.

When Kimmel asked Fairbanks how she’s been getting food, she said she’s mostly been ordering takeout.

“Oh, that’s good because you know what? You’re going to be getting $10,000 gift certificate from Postmates,” Aniston said, to which Fairbanks could not help but respond by bursting out laughing.

Aniston added that each of the nurses who work on Fairbanks’ floor will be receiving gift cards as well.

Later in the interview, Aniston told Kimmel that she hasn’t left her Los Angeles home in “three weeks.”

“The most challenging thing is watching news and trying to digest all that’s going on out there,” she said. “I allow a check-in in the morning, and then I’ll do a check-in in the evening, and that is it because basically it’s regurgitating the exact same thing.”

Aniston went on to say that washing dishes has become her “favorite, favorite thing in the world” because it kills two birds with one stone.

“Not only are you doing your dishes but you’re washing your hands,” she explained.

It’s so nice to see that Aniston is just as kind and giving off the screen as she appears to be in many of her shows! We could definitely use more of the kindness and generosity that she is showing right now.
