Pres. Trump is strongly thinking about placing a quarantine on metropolitan New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, the disease’s U.S. epicenter.
Trump said that he had a discussion with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo before departing the White House to send off a Navy hospital ship bound for New York City from Norfolk, Virginia.
I think that the quarantine should be a lot stronger, across the board. There’s been too much hysteria from leftist and the media and too much dismissive language from those on the right who place this in the category of the flu. In the middle are Americans being torn apart when they should be seeing our leaders and respectable information voices coming together for the good of the country?

As the coronavirus pandemic overwhelms hospitals in New York state, President Trump said he is thinking about enforcing a 14-day quarantine of three northeastern states where travel out of New York has created tensions among state officials.
Trump told press reporters outside the White House on Saturday morning that he is considering quarantining the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut before he boarded a flight to Norfolk, Virginia.
“We’re thinking about certain things,” Trump said. Some people would like to see New York quarantined because it’s a hot spot. New York, New Jersey, maybe one or two other places, certain parts of Connecticut quarantined. I’m thinking about it right now. We might not have to do it but there’s a possibility that sometime today we’ll do a quarantine short-term two weeks on New York and probably New Jersey and certain parts of Connecticut.”
Trump said there are issues of “heavily infected” people going to Florida from New York and the measures will be used to keep movement between states as the coronavirus pandemic overwhelms hospitals in major cities. [Washington Examiner]
President and his administration are doing a phenomenal job handling this virus. Pear for them. Pray for all the first responders and our military, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, all those keeping our grocery shelves stocked and cashiers and those driving the items to the store.
