On Wednesday, the Maryland Department of Health confirmed new numbers for those affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) to 85 people in the state.
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan also announced on Tuesday that he was postponing Maryland’s April 28 primary election to June 2. Maryland is now the sixth state or territory to move to put off its primaries due to coronavirus fears.
During a Tuesday press conference, Hogan announced he would issue a proclamation postponing the election date and wanted the state board of election to work on a plan to figure out a way to open polls while also preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

New numbers on the State’s website show 4 cases now in Baltimore City. Mayor Young and the Baltimore City Health Commissioner say there are actually five cases confirmed in the City.
The Mayor issued a local State of Emergency for Baltimore City. The emergency operations plan has been implemented.
The Health Commissioner said there is evidence of community transmission in the Baltimore City patients. All are in stable or good condition. [WBFF]
