Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis says Florida beaches are either closing entirely or staying open, but visitors will follow the CDC guidelines on crowds and distancing.
Alcohol, check, drugs, check, sex, check, Coronavirus, check, stupidity check, this is a way to get rid of a whole generation of college students not to mention all the people they will infect when they get back from spring break.
What a waste of education during this crisis. Of course, it is just their parent’s money anyway. I think they need to set up a 14-day quarantine at the airport car garage with the worst 3rd-world conditions and have all of them go through before getting on an airplane and flying to an island for another 90 days, just to make sure they aren’t infected.

Among those who have refused to heed social distancing advice are university students eager to partake in the getaway of Spring Break.
“If I get corona, I get corona. At the end of the day, I’m not gonna let it stop me from partying,” Brady Sluder, a Spring Breaker in Miami who had travelled from Ohio, told CBS.
“We’re just out here having a good time. Whatever happens, happens.”
Well, when they all test positive and are isolated from family and cellphones, I hope they ask themselves if having a good time was worth it.
Bryson Taylor said that “when stuff closes, we’re going to do it when it closes”, when asked about the potential of his party plans being derailed.
He added: “We’re just trying to have the best trip we can.”
Another Spring Breaker, Shelby Cordell, said: “I just turned 21 this year so I’m here to party.” [Evening Standard]

Their parents and grandparents were likely the ones hoarding all the toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Typical millennial response to keeping a distance from one another. Probably Bernie supporters on that “pirate ship” that want their free education.
When these people are told they can not return to their parent’s house or visit the grandparents, perhaps it will sink in but no, American ls, in general, are a selfish lot, only age and vulnerability will change that.
What’s crazy is we have people in America that travel to areas infected with diseases and viruses to help educate, train, and help with those affected. They are continually battling gossip regarding the communities calling it fake, blaming the responders for it, and minimalizing the danger associated with it. These are usually third world countries. What amazes me is that it’s the same trying to get conservatives in America to take it seriously also.
